Glaciers on Ellesmere Island were already present millions of years from today. This ancient ice provides pristine water from remains of the oldest ice on the planet Earth.
This low-mineral water is of rate quality that is to be lost in the ocean if not harvested. It is collected from a Grise Fjord glacier located on the northernmost island of Canada over the 76th parallel.
Locked up for over 2 million years, nature kept the water in its unique form since human beings stepped on the surface of our planet and first walked into the Arctic.
This freshwater has minimal to no trace synthetic chemicals or contaminants from human activities. It is a known fact that due to dry and wet deposition from the atmosphere, thousands of chemicals can be found in almost all food and liquid including freshwater we consume to survive.

Pure Blue Spirit, collected and bottled directly on Grise Fjord in the northernmost community of Canada, is a unique first-class water. The glacier which provides us with the purest water on Earth is located on Ellesmere Island over the 76th parallel.
On Nature´s Rythm
We simply let the water drops run slowly on the rock as the glacier melts. We then collect every drop of it during the brief gathering period of 5 to 6 weeks annually, when the mean temperature is above the freezing point. The ultimate pure water is finally bottled and sent directly to you.
Like Never Before
Each bottle is filled individually using our drop by drop process. No machine, no boats, just the fluent work of Mother Nature. Our philosophy is to interfere as little as possible with the purity of the water, locked up in the ice for over 2 million years. As such, we collect the water from a location more than 2 kilometers away from any human activity, with the help of a few members of the Inuit community established near the area. That means no pollutants or traces of human lives are to be found in a bottle of Pure Blue Spirit.
Our Island
Ellesmere Island is the third biggest island in Canada. Apart from Eureka, an unmanned weather station and Alert, the northernmost military station, Ellesmere Island is only occupied by one settlement established in 1954. The population has never exceeded 150 inhabitants to date.

Pure Blue Spirit has a mission of creating terroir water that will make a real difference in the world. Saving Grise Fjord’s water from being lost in the ocean by bottling it was a huge step, but we strongly desired to make the Inuit community established in the Northern islands of Canada part of our project. Involved through training, employment, operation and business, they are the heart of Pure Blue Spirit.
Benefiting not only from their help, but from their knowledge of the area, we came up with an amazing technique that allows us to gather the water without bringing any boats of polluting machines anywhere near the glacier that provides the purest low-mineral water.
This water is not only an incredibly healthy ressource made available for the world, but also a motor for the development of this community.
Ellesmere Island, 76th parallel
Being the 3rd largest island of Canada, Ellesmere is part of Nunavut and covers almost 200 000 km2. The community living on the island was created in the mid-fifties and has never exceeded a population of 150 inhabitants, which contributes immensely to the protection of the area and its extremely low level of pollution.
